After winning a national competition in 1999, Voices of the Heart and their Director Laura Stevens decided to take the attention and momentum of that moment and do something good...Thus was born the idea for a Christmas Show that would use children's talents to help sick and abused children.
So, in 1999, Voices of the Heart and cast, presented the First Annual Heart of Christmas Show .
100% of the tickets sales, over $8,000, was donated to the
Friends of Children at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Foundation.
Since then, the Heart of Christmas Show has raised over 675.000.00 dollars for
Friends of Children, The Child Advocacy Center plus many other children's agencies and our public schools!
The 36 member cast of talented young singers and dancers work hard to bring you a quality
Christmas show equally compared to those and Myrtle Beach and Branson MO.
The difference is that the show has children, as its performers, ranging in ages 6-19.
The professionalism of these young artists will delightfully surprise you as they eagerly
display their talents. There is a 9 year old Elvis that comes out on a Harley...
there are cute and funny songs... even one about a puppy...it snows on stage...
there are delightful costumes and choreography and much more that make the show
